FAQs
How do I get the guide after purchase?
Once you’ve completed your purchase, you’ll receive an instant download link by email. You can access the guide straight away and save it to your phone, tablet or laptop for offline use. If you ever lose access, just contact me via the form here and I’ll resend it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, the guides are fully digital. You can open them on any device, and the interactive Google Maps work perfectly on mobile, so you can navigate on the go. Many people also download or print the PDF for offline use, especially in rural areas with poor signal.
What if I change my dates?
No problem. The routes and recommendations aren’t tied to specific dates, they work year-round.
You can adjust your plans easily, as most itineraries include flexible options, rest days and alternate routes depending on weather or timing.
Do you offer refunds?
Because the guides are digital downloads, they can’t be returned once sent. This is standard practice for digital products. Please read the full description and FAQs before purchasing, and if you’re unsure, you can always get in touch with me before ordering to check if it’s right for you.
How long do I have access to the guide?
Forever. Once you’ve downloaded it, it’s yours to keep.
Can I print the guide?
Yes, all guides are designed to be printer-friendly. You can print specific pages (like day itineraries or maps) or the full guide if you prefer using a physical copy.
Is it suitable for motorhomes or vans?
Yes, many of the routes (like the NC500 or Scotland guides) include motorhome-friendly notes and parking suggestions. If a section isn’t suitable for large vehicles, I’ll clearly mention alternative routes.
Loved the guide, very detailed! Arrived quickly and all that I need to help me plan my trip in May 2026.
Very helpful with planning the road trip that we are taking in May next year. The inside information was extremely helpful with places to stop and places to make sure we can stop at and see. Thank you so much Ross. Mick and Shirley.
This is a great guide. Hoping to do the 500 on motorcycles next year and found this guide a terrific reference tool. Thanks Ross
I must admit to being disappointed with the guide. It was mainly aimed at people with mobile homes. Day 6 is different to the map at the beginning, choosing to go via Loch Ness instead. The timings on Day 6 are also incorrect compared to Google Maps. I looked at two of the hotels suggested on the route. One was for a minimum stay of two days and another was for a minimum stay of a week and therefore not suitable to be included. Overall I was underwhelmed.
Very detailed and accessible, easy to get all you need to plan your road trip from the high level perspective to the low level information as viewpoints and all resources. Really a great guide
