FAQs
How do I get the guide after purchase?
Once you’ve completed your purchase, you’ll receive an instant download link by email. You can access the guide straight away and save it to your phone, tablet or laptop for offline use. If you ever lose access, just contact me via the form here and I’ll resend it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, the guides are fully digital. You can open them on any device, and the interactive Google Maps work perfectly on mobile, so you can navigate on the go. Many people also download or print the PDF for offline use, especially in rural areas with poor signal.
What if I change my dates?
No problem. The routes and recommendations aren’t tied to specific dates, they work year-round.
You can adjust your plans easily, as most itineraries include flexible options, rest days and alternate routes depending on weather or timing.
Do you offer refunds?
Because the guides are digital downloads, they can’t be returned once sent. This is standard practice for digital products. Please read the full description and FAQs before purchasing, and if you’re unsure, you can always get in touch with me before ordering to check if it’s right for you.
How long do I have access to the guide?
Forever. Once you’ve downloaded it, it’s yours to keep.
Can I print the guide?
Yes, all guides are designed to be printer-friendly. You can print specific pages (like day itineraries or maps) or the full guide if you prefer using a physical copy.
Is it suitable for motorhomes or vans?
Yes, many of the routes (like the NC500 or Scotland guides) include motorhome-friendly notes and parking suggestions. If a section isn’t suitable for large vehicles, I’ll clearly mention alternative routes.
Very happy with the guide. It’s gave me a better understanding of the routing and has expanded my desire to visit more of the North Coast. It has caused me to look beyond the usual sites and increased my desire to learn more about the history of the area.
We found the guide really good. It meant we saw places which we might have missed for example Cromarty on the Black Isle. Lots of tips and recommendations and agree about the hot chocolate (although we had ours at Dornoch.) Thanks.
Ross' Guide really helped us with our itinerary; where to eat, stay, camp, what roads to take and how long necessary to stay at specific locations. A very invaluable tool - thank you
The Travel Guide is a brilliant book and just what we needed to start planning our holiday later in the year. It has a really useful 7 day itinerary with details of places along the route to stop and accommodation to suit all budget ranges. The guide is a great help to avoid missing interesting places we could have driven past unknowingly.
An absolute lifesaver for anyone tackling the North Coast 500 in Scotland. Ross' guide is packed with really useful info, fab recommendations on where to visit and eat, and his pre made itineraries made our planning so much easier.
The What3Words and QR codes were very handy, and made finding everything much easier. And unlike two other NC500 guides we have bought, this one comes with several itinerary options that we can view in his mobile app which is very cool. We’ve got all our routes saved in the app, can check them each day, and it works offline once downloaded which is perfect when signal disappears (which is in most places around the NC500).
It’s well written, full of beautiful photos (which I think Ross has taken all himself), and printed on quality pages (we’ve had other guides before that felt a bit cheap). It covers everything from where to stay and eat to travelling with a dog.
It was recommended by friends who’d already done the NC500 last year. Couldn’t be happier with the book and our planning 👌
We also spotted Ross offers itinerary reviews on his website, so we had him check our route before we go and he’s been super helpful.
Only thing I’d love to see is a few more pub and restaurant picks along the route as three was sometimes not enough choice, but overall covered everything we needed.
We’ve just bought Ross’ Lake District guide too and can’t wait to use it in the summer!
